Last year, I had a fantastic time visiting the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek with my mom. I’m a big fan of Colorado’s mountains and I’m always on the hunt for a bargain. I discovered that the shoulder season, the period between summer and ski seasons, offers some amazing deals at hotels that are usually super expensive. Sometimes, you can save up to 80% on the regular rate!
This year, I stumbled upon a similar deal, coincidentally on the exact same weekend as last year. Thanks to The Flight Deal, I found a roundtrip ticket from DFW to Denver on American Airlines for just $87. Coupled with a great promotion from Silvercar in Denver, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a quick weekend getaway.
I shared the news with my friend Mark and we managed to convince a couple of other guys to join us. The rates at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek were just $144 each. How could we resist? Plus, I love taking photos for my travel blog, so I was excited to see if I could capture even better shots than last time.
To our surprise, we were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite! I usually have terrible luck with upgrades at Hyatt hotels, so this was a pleasant surprise. Our suite, the Mt. Lincoln Suite, was on the first level and while we would have loved a view of the slopes, our view was still pretty great.
The main room of the suite was tastefully decorated, capturing the cozy vibe of a ski lodge. The second room was a standard room with two double beds. Both rooms were comfortable and well-appointed.
A good hotel room isn’t complete without a decent bathroom, and the Park Hyatt didn’t disappoint. The bathroom was equipped with two sinks and a large copper jar filled with toiletries, which helped keep the counter space neat and tidy. The bathtub and shower were stocked with their own branded Allegria products.
And let’s not forget the robe. If a hotel offers a comfy robe, you bet I’m going to wear it!
Our first impressions were overwhelmingly positive. The high ceilings were a standout feature, and the view from our room on the first morning was simply breathtaking. I can’t wait to share more about the hotel grounds and the incredible breakfast buffet in future posts. Stay tuned!
