Discover the Top 8 Hostels in Seville: Your Ultimate Guide to Unforgettable Accommodations in Spain’s Vibrant City.

Seville is an amazing spot to explore as a backpacker. It’s one of Spain’s most stunning cities and offers a more budget-friendly experience compared to the northern regions. The weather in Seville is also fantastic, making spring and autumn feel like summer. When I first visited Seville as a backpacker, I ended up staying much longer than planned. There’s just so much to see and do in Seville, and the awesome hostel I stayed at, La Banda Rooftop Hostel, made it an easy choice to extend my stay.

I’ve returned to Seville multiple times since then, allowing me to check out different neighborhoods and hostels in the Andalusian capital. It’s a good idea to book your hostel in advance to secure a spot in one of the top places. Hostelworld lets you reserve without cancellation fees for added flexibility.

With numerous hostels to choose from in Seville, deciding where to stay can be tricky. But if you pick any of the following options, you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic time in Seville:

  1. La Banda Rooftop Hostel
    • Offers amazing views of the Seville Cathedral
    • Daily communal meals and rooftop entertainment
    • Best for a social atmosphere, perfect for solo travelers
    • Book at Hostelworld or Booking.com

I’ve stayed in countless hostels worldwide, and La Banda Rooftop Hostel remains one of my favorites. It’s a great choice for a social backpacker vibe. The hostel has won Hostelworld’s "Hoscar" awards for many years, and it’s evident why. The dorms are well-equipped, but the rooftop area is the real highlight. You can easily make new friends there, especially if you join the rooftop breakfast or family dinners. It’s a social place with occasional events, but not a full-on party hostel, so you can get a good night’s sleep.

The hostel’s location near the Cathedral makes it convenient to explore all of Seville’s attractions on foot. Make sure to book early, as La Banda is popular and often fully booked even during the off-peak season. If you miss out, there are other social hostels in Seville listed below.

  1. TOC Hostel & Suites
    • Situated next to the Cathedral and the Alcazar, Seville’s top sights

While it’s not as social as other hostels, it’s perfect for those who want a high-quality stay without the need for organized activities. Remote workers will appreciate the on-site coffee shop with good WiFi for a productive stay.

  1. La Flamenka Hostel
    • Boasts a phenomenal rooftop terrace
    • Highly central location, walking distance from the bus station
    • Budget-friendly
    • Book at Hostelworld or Booking.com

If La Banda is fully booked, La Flamenka is a top alternative for a social hostel experience. It also features a rooftop area and various facilities that make it an excellent base in Seville. Enjoy views of the cathedral and the old town from the terrace, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Barrio de Triana, one of Seville’s iconic neighborhoods. The hostel offers both private and shared rooms, with gender-separated bathrooms and ample amenities.

  1. Oasis Backpacker’s Hostel Sevilla & Coworking
    • Includes a free co-working area
    • Located near the ‘Mushroom’ square, a vibrant local area
    • Best for digital nomads
    • Book at Hostelworld or Booking.com

Ideal for backpackers and digital nomads, this hostel provides a space to connect with fellow travelers while offering a dedicated co-working area. Explore the city together, relax on the rooftop patio with a small pool, and enjoy various activities like barbecues and walking tours. The hostel’s proximity to major attractions and entertainment hubs makes it a convenient choice for visitors.

  1. Triana Hostel
    • Situated in Seville’s traditional Triana area
    • Classic backpacker hostel, ideal for a traveler atmosphere and local experience
    • Book at Hostelworld or Booking.com

Located in the historic Triana neighborhood, this hostel offers a genuine experience in one of Seville’s most traditional areas. Despite its authentic charm, it’s just a short walk from the city center, providing a perfect balance between local culture and tourist attractions. The hostel’s historical significance and welcoming atmosphere make it a great choice for travelers seeking an authentic hostel experience.
