Last month, I had the chance to travel abroad for work. I’m in finance, and I spent three weeks in Singapore and a week in Australia. It was a fantastic experience, and I kicked it off with a quick weekend getaway to Bali.
I stayed at LUXE Villas Bali, which is the top-rated hotel on TripAdvisor. The reviews were glowing, and the price was surprisingly affordable. I booked a SkyLoft Suite for $260 USD per night and arranged for airport transfers.
After a long, delayed flight from the US to Singapore and then to Bali, I arrived late at night. The hotel’s driver was waiting for me, and we embarked on a 90-minute drive to Ubud, a town known for its Water Temple, Monkey Forest, and, amusingly, tourists crashing scooters.
LUXE Villas Bali is in a green zone, so the last part of the journey was on a scooter, with another scooter for my luggage. I was so tired when I arrived that I went straight to bed.
The next morning, I woke up to a stunning view of rice paddies from my SkyLoft. The hotel felt secluded, even though it’s just a five-minute scooter ride from Ubud. I spent the morning taking pictures and exploring the SkyLoft.
Breakfast was included in my rate, and it was delicious. After eating, I officially checked in and met Paul, one of the owners. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even arranging for a scooter rental for me when their usual rental agency was closed for a Hindu holiday.
I spent the day exploring with a friend, and we returned to the hotel for afternoon tea. My SkyLoft Suite was beautifully decorated and had a fantastic view. The hotel grounds were also immaculately maintained.
The next day, I had lunch at the hotel’s cafe before heading to the airport. The food was excellent, and Paul even brought me fresh aloe for my sunburn.
My stay at LUXE Villas Bali was too short, but I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait to go back to Bali, and I’ll definitely be staying at LUXE Villas again.
By the way, I paid for my stay myself and didn’t tell the hotel staff that I’m a travel blogger. I just wanted to share my experience because it was so great.
Have you ever been to Bali? Where did you stay? I’d love to hear about your experiences!
